Princeville Hawaii is in a great central location to visit all of the best beaches in Kauai. With many of the top beaches located near Princeville Hawaii hotels, this city can be the perfect place to begin planning your next Hawaiian vacation.

1. Haena Beach Park, Kauai (Tunnels Beach)
Just a short walk from Haena Beach Park, Tunnels Beach is set just below majestic mountains with near perfect snorkeling conditions. In the winter months, surfers can be spotted around the outer reef, but beware this beach is not for the inexperienced surfer. Before snorkeling you should be aware that this beach is named after the currents that flow through the reef in a tunnel-like manner. Although the waters may look calm the currents can be stronger than they look! In addition to the many Princeville Kauai Hawaii rentals, Princeville Vacations has vacation rentals located in Haena for quick access to this beach!

2. Hanalei Bay
This two mile long white sand beach is also surrounded be a beautiful mountain landscape and circles in to create the bay. Hanalei Bay is just East of Princeville Hawaii, where Princeville Vacations has a huge selection of vacation rentals. This beach is known for the Hanalei Pier which has been photographed countless times amongst the gorgeous scenery. This Kauai beach is also the perfect place to participate in activities like surfing, sailing, kayaking, swimming, and walking along the long shore line. Remember to always be aware of strong currents before venturing out into the waters!

3. Anini Beach Park
Along Kauai’s North shore lies Anini Beach Park that stretches 3 miles along the water and includes one of the widest reefs in all of Hawaii. With very shallow waters, this beach is the perfect family spot to bring small children. Swimming into deeper waters, you will find that it is a great spot to go snorkeling as the reef is home to an abundance of tropical fish. Princeville Vacations has a great deal of Kauai vacation rentals in the north shore including ones located in Kilauea and Anini just short walks away from the white sand beaches.

4. Po’ipu Beach
This is one of the most popular beaches in all of Kauai because it is the ideal spot for families. A great place to take advantage of the crystal clear waters, the swimming hole creates a calm and typically a very safe place to snorkel to avoid strong currents. It is also common to spot seals bathing in the sun amongst the beach visitors. Adding to its family friendly nature are lifeguards, showers, pavilions, and picnic areas making it the perfect place to spend the day. Coming home to a roomy and private condo
rental is the perfect way to end the day.

5. Polihale State Park
This beautiful state park is in an incredibly remote location found only by following a dirt road. After reaching the state park you will find a 3 mile long stretch of beautiful white sand and deep blue waters. This beach is not recommended for swimming however, as there are severe currents and shore breaks. If you’re looking for a remote location however, you’ve found the spot! Princeville Vacations also has an abundance of private vacation rentals with beaches that are just steps from the back door.

As an island of natural luxury with lush greenery, plunging waterfalls, and year-round temperatures that make it possible to enjoy the warm sand at anytime of year, Kauai is a dream vacation destination. More specifically Princeville Kauai, Hawaii is a common favorite to visitors because of its central location to a wide range of activities unique to Hawaii.

Known as the “garden island” of Hawaii, Kauai has what some consider to be the most extravagant natural landscape in all of Hawaii. Some great activities to take advantage of in Princeville Hawaii that allow you to explore these lush landscapes are horseback riding, zip lining, or touring places like the Fern Grotto. While there are many group tour activities available throughout Princeville Hawaii, there are a lot of opportunities to create your own excursions and discover the island at your own pace. Many have found that they enjoy blazing their own trail by renting a bicycle or hiking to nearby waterfalls recommended by local Princeville Hawaii Hotels and resorts.

In addition to exploring all the sites that Princeville Hawaii has to offer, Hawaii’s temperate climate and beautiful scenery creates the perfect environment to play outdoor sports like golf. Having been ranked as Golf Digest’s best golf course in Hawaii and one of America’s Top 100 Greatest Courses, the Prince Golf Course in Princeville is not to be missed!

When it come to finding a place to stay in Princeville Hawaii there are many options. While some choose to camp or stay in large hotels, many enjoy renting private condos. Some of the benefits of renting a condo as opposed to staying in a large hotel are more living space with larger bedrooms, having your own kitchen to cook meals, and typically a quieter, more private stay. At Princville Vacations there is a wide selection of properties to meet every budget; From less than $999/week to over $2,000/week, there’s something for every taste and budget.

With endless options to choose how to spend your time in Princeville Hawaii, your vacation can be as relaxing or activity-filled as you choose.

When traveling to the beautiful island of Kauai, consider a Kauai vacation rental to experience the “home away from home” feeling. As the 4th largest of the Hawaiian islands, Kauai has been the most popular with filmmakers due to it’s lush foliage and amazing waterfalls.

North Shore Kauai vacation rentals offer homes that are custom-designed for guests’ preference for space, setting and aesthetics. Whether relaxing near the pool or sunning on a deck, privacy is a constant companion. Sit back and watch the surf or participate in numerous activities offered on Kauai. Discover that the north shore area has rainforest attributes with tropical gardens emitting scent from dew drop petals. On the Na Pali Coast, cliffs rise 4000 feet above the ocean.

Featuring so much more than the typical hotel, vacation rentals are equipped with everything found at home to make each visit personal. Fully-equipped kitchens allow guests the freedom to eat in if desired. Stock the refrigerator with favorite foods and beverages for the convenience of grabbing quick snacks or to enjoy a home-cooked meal on the lanai.

Offering ample space to move around, Kauai vacation rentals feature living areas with comfortable seating for everyone. Find that vacation rentals provide the best amenities to allow guests more options. Washers, dryers, high speed internet, and televisions with DVD players are included to make everyone feel at home in this paradise setting.

For families traveling with children, vacation rentals are ideal for those times when children need space to run around and their own private bedroom for sleeping. For friends traveling to Kauai together, splitting the cost is an economical way to experience luxury surroundings both inside and out.

For an island that is 33 miles long and 25 miles wide, find that activities are not far from vacation rentals. Plan at least one tour to learn about foliage, history and how to do something such as deep sea fishing. Kauai also offers zip line tours, helicopter tours, tubing adventures, surfing lessons and more.

If the intent of a Kauai vacation is to relax on the beach, rentals offer guests the opportunity for beachfront property as a priority. Plan a trip to Kauai and enjoy the distinct sound of a ukulele, traditional Hawaiian cuisine and spectacular sunrises from the privacy of a vacation rental lanai.

Experience the perfect Kauai vacation by going to http://www.princeville-vacations.com.

It would be a much welcomed change to be elsewhere right now.

Hidden beneath a barricade of protective winter clothing – long underwear, hooded snowsuit, scarf, thermal cap, boots, socks and gloves – the most daunting, literal bone chilling task awaits: shoveling away mound after mound of snow.

The grinding thrush of speeding snow plows has become an alarm clock. Days start not with coffee and a warm filling meal, but with donning all appropriate gear in preparation to excavate your driveway. Winter storms have reduced you to a life of reclusion – not always by choice, so fed up you regret looking out windows. Never mind actually leaving home! Yet you have a daily job to attend, as possibly does your spouse. Children must be taken to school.

The shovel rests on a wall neighboring your hibernating golf clubs, each tucked snuggly in their individual covers. You run your hand across the soft leather bag as if smoothing the hair on a pet lion; inside you are roaring with anxiety. After grabbing the shovel you assume familiar stance, angling your body as if to tee off. A practice swing ensues. With eyes closed, imagining the white ball soaring above the fairway raises a smile on your scarf-covered lips. Opening your eyes realizes winter remains more than a month from seceding its frozen punishments to a more forgiving spring – the season of golfers. A vacation, an exotic getaway is the snowless alternative you desire to get swinging.

Princeville, Hawaii would be ideal. Its comfortably warm 80 degree weather with bright blue cloudless skies is perfect for golfing at Makai Golf Club. Their St. Regis Princeville Resort location hosts the recently redesigned par 72 course surrounded by natural beauty as far as the eye can see – 7,200 yards to be challenged and cherished. Evenly playable Seashore Paspalum turf provides foundation on all fairways and greens, more appealing than the slush and ice preventing teeing off back home.

Admit, you would much rather play through 213 yards of gorgeous green accented by alluring curvaceous cliffs, breath-taking mountain views and the sparkling Pacific Ocean than pretend your shovel is an iron while your toes freeze inside you boots. At Makai trade your snowsuit for Greg Norman and Nike apparel found in the gift shop, then hit popular 9-hole Woods Course in relaxed leisurely style.

No waking to snow plows grinding chunks from the pavement, but to the whisper of the ocean speaking seductively through lightly crashing waves. Resting quietly in a spacious and luxurious Princeville-Vacations.com private property, the Pacific will entice you to the window. You’ll look out, anxiously anticipating your next course outing. Like your snowed-in home, you will not want to leave.

It would be a much welcomed change right now.

KAUA’I, Hawaii — The celebrated Princeville Prince Course in Kaua’i is offering a special rate of $100 through the end of October. The course aerified its greens at the end of September, but the turf is recovering nicely and golfers are taking advantage of playing the course at this bargain price anytime before 3 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to give golfers the chance to play one of the best courses in Hawaii and one of the most acclaimed courses in the entire country at this special rate,” said Steve Murphy, Prince Course Director of Golf, PGA. “The aerification of greens is a necessary process that helps promote healthy conditions for turf growth. We like to use it as an opportunity to offer our guests this exclusive greens fee.”

The Prince Course has also launched a carefully orchestrated enhancements program that will not interrupt play and will include refining all bunkers with new, whiter sand and introduce the eco-friendly Seashore Paspalum to its greens. The bunkers will be worked on one at a time and are expected to be completed by next spring. The introduction of the new Seashore Paspalum greens will also be done gradually. Seashore Paspalum was recently installed at two other acclaimed Kaua’i golf courses, Poipu Bay and Makai Golf Club at The St. Regis Princeville Resort.

The Prince Course, named for Prince Albert, son of Hawaii’s King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma, features majestic views from 300 feet above the Pacific Ocean. It was rated No. 1 out of nearly 90 courses in golf-rich Hawaii by Golf Digest and was ranked No. 67 on the magazine’s list of “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.”

For more information or to book tee times 24 hours a day, visit www.princeville.com.

Poipu Bay to unveil renovated greens in December The newly renovated greens at the acclaimed Poipu Bay Golf Course in Kaua’i will be unveiled Dec. 16 following a nine-month restoration project.

The course – which is situated on 210 oceanfront acres adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Kaua’i Resort & Spa – replaced the original Tifdwarf Bermuda greens and installed Sea Shore Paspalum, a warm-season turf that requires less water and chemicals to maintain excellent conditions. The surface is also very player-friendly.

“The new greens will provide a more consistent speed year-round, creating a better overall golf experience for our guests,” said Craig Sasada, Poipu Bay’s Director of Golf. “We are very pleased with the progress of the renovation thus far, and we’re looking forward to welcoming golfers back to Poipu Bay beginning December 16.”

In addition to the greens project, Poipu Bay’s 21,000-square-foot clubhouse is undergoing refurbishment, including locker room renovation, new carpeting and repainting. The restaurant at the clubhouse is closed, but Poipu Bay’s award-winning Golf Shop remains open for business Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Sundays.

Poipu Bay – a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design – is the former home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf and was ranked No. 5 out of more than 90 courses in Hawaii in last month’s GOLF Magazine biennial “Best Courses You Can Play” by state list.

Together with the Grand Hyatt Kaua’i Resort & Spa it has been ranked as one of the best golf resorts in the world by national publications. The oceanfront resort features lush gardens with manicured lawns, six restaurants and six lounges, a water playground with a river pool, waterfalls, a 150-foot water slide, a saltwater lagoon, tennis and the award-winning Anara Spa.
